WHO WE ARE ....

We are the Rushford Area Branding Council (RABC for short).

WHAT WE ARE DOING ....

We are meeting with the sole purpose of developing a community brand for the Rushford, Peterson, Rushford Village Area. We have reviewed past community assessments to provide us with valuable information about the historical perception of the area. We will also be engaging with the community to collect valuable information from current area residents, to get their perceptions, to gain their perspective on the area, and to share our thoughts about potential brand candidates. After analyzing all of this information, we expect to finalize community brand candidate(s) that will lead us to the ultimate goal of creating an identity for our community.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

Small towns are continually being challenged to survive, much less grow. Stagnation is not an option on the list of survival or growth strategies. If you sit still, you watch the world go by, and with it your world diminishes. The same thing happens with small towns.

This dedicated group of people is working on the area branding project. You might ask, "What is branding?" Branding is a process that yields a community brand, an identity for your community, or your area. It is what you are known for. If you currently ask someone what the Tri-City Rushford area is known for, you will likely get a questioning look, or a response that you do not want to hear. We are trying to change that.

With a successfully developed and implemented brand, a community can become a destination for visitors and new residents. A brand can be instrumental in the growth of your community. It can help promote economic development, increase the tax base and generally improve the commnuity, and how the residents feel about the community.

Successfully developing a brand is a challenging and rewarding project. It takes talent, and it takes time. The Rushford Area Branding Council is an exciting opportunity for newly located residents, and long-time residents to have a positive impact on the community, your community.
